One Last Easter... One Final Episode...

Day 156

Yesterday was a fantastic day. It was filled with food, chocolate, cards and the sad end to one of my favorite shows. But more on that later.

Yesterday we celebrated Greek Easter with Grandpa Platis and Grandma Pauline and family. And it was a nice time. There was a ton of yummy Greek food including fresh Feta cheese, Kalamata olives and spread, baskets and baskets of bread, red peppers, more cheese, Spanakopita, and Dolmades.

So much food and I downed it with so much soda. After we ate we played Old Bob, which is a family favorite card game and ate Creme eggs. It was such a nice day.

Then we came home and put Logan to bed and we watched the Season Finale of Celebrity Fit Club: Bootcamp. I love the last episode because they show how fat they were and they shrink down to their current size. Watching this show does motivate me to continue to watch what I eat and exercise. Some of these celebrities lost up to 30 pounds! It is also neat to see their personality change, they are much happier and they know it.

The Blue Team won and I am very happy that they did. They deserved it. And I am glad that Jay won the individual prize because he deserved that. Aside from Char, Nicole and Bobby definitely cost their team the victory.

Sebastian Bach was my favorite team member. He had to be the funniest one there and the one I would want to hang out with. Sadly, my crush on Nicole Eggert took a huge hit by watching this show. And it has nothing to do with her weight. She was fake and was not very nice and I don't like her anymore. She also had excuses for everything and denied any help feeling that she was right. I am so glad that Harvey called her out at the end. But I had to admit that the best moment of the season finale is when K-Fed manned up. Now I am not into celebrity gossip and I had no idea what his story was before. But I am extremely proud that he owned up and admitted he was selfish. We waited all season for this and I am glad he took that step. It takes a big man to own up to being selfish and it takes a bigger man to apologize.

I am totally gushing about this show aren't I?

I will end it with with favorite moment during this season provided by Sebastian.

What Pushes Your Button?

Day 123

Oh the meltdown on this week's Celebrity Fit Club was awesome and scary. Man oh man did Sebastian lose his cool. And partly I don't blame him. He was doing so good in the beginning of the Fit Club Challenge and then the rain hit and his teammates were annoying him and HalfFat Girl (Tanisha) said something not nice to him and the crap hit the fan.

Tanisha pushed his button.

So my blog today asks What Pushes Your Button?

I admit that I have a little bit of a temper but I think for the most part I have it under control. But there is something that sends me postal and Sebastian-like.

I hate to be finger poked in the chest. It absolutely makes my blood boil. I can handle pretty much anything else but this. You want to start something? Poke me in my chest. Even if you do it accidentally it still sends shivers up my spine. But do it on purpose? LOOK OUT!

I remember the last time someone did this to me on purpose. I was working as a lumper for Motor Cargo. My station was at Pepperidge Farms and my job was to load boxes of cookies/crackers into trucks. One day a certain truck was very late. The trucker (whom we ALL hated) came in expecting that we would load his crap and send him on his way. Unfortunately I was assigned to lump his trailer. He came in and demanded that he speak to his team of loaders. I explained it to him calmly that he was extremely late and that he would have to wait a bit before we start his truck. Since we knew that we would have to deal with him, we went ahead and pulled his whole stock beforehand. That way it would take us about twenty minutes to load his truck so we were doing him a HUGE favor. He didn't see it this way. He continued to be a complete idiot.

So we finished up another truck and hurried to start his. He watched us the whole time, getting in our way and it aggravated us. I told him to take a seat in the break room and get a Coke and we would have everything all ready for him in twenty minutes. Then he started to berate me and my driver. He called us every dirty name his feeble mind could come up with. And I had enough. I stopped loading and told him to knock it off or we will take our time loading his truck. He got into my face and told me to get back to work and I told him to waddle his way back to the break room and we will get back to work (my forklift driver fully backing me up).

And then he poked me with his chubby finger. And the blood began to boil. I warned him not to do that again. And he said "What are you going to do about it kid?" And he poked me again.

So I grabbed that finger and off my chest and twisted it back. I was having a Sebastian moment. He tried to yell at me and fight back but I was pushing his finger back so much that he could barely breath. I finally released his finger and pointed to the break room in which he hastily retreated to.

So that is my biggest button. Just don't poke it.

And for a happier ending, Sebastian and Tanisha did patch things up. Which was followed by Sebastian trying to dance. He knew he looked like an idiot and he didn't disappoint. Gotta give him props for trying.

Fight or Flight?

Day 116

Gosh I just love watching Celebrity Fit Club. I can always count on being entertained. This week's episode talked about conquering fear. So one of the obstacles the teams had to do was to escape a prison. They were all chained together and they had to beat down and cement wall, climb in a tunnel up a hill that was loaded with cement blocks and then the last part would FREAK ME OUT! They got out of the chains and they had to climb this tower. Okay heights and I are not friends but that was not the worst part. They had two attack dogs chase them and attack them. So you had to get a teammate up on top of this tower and they would send out a rope ladder. And you had to get your butt up there before the dogs came. But you could also run into this cage if you could not make it up the ladder in time. K-Fed (one of my favorite contestants) saw the dogs and couldn't get up the ladder so he bolted to the cage. The funny part was that he made it into the cage but the dogs got in too and mauled him. The dogs did have muzzles on them but still. Dogs and I are not friends at all. The best part is watching the reactions. I about coughed up my candy bar when I saw Sebastian do this:

You totally need to read VH1's blog about this show.

Later in the episode Harvey took Bobby Brown and made him conquer his fear of heights. It was pretty awesome.

So the question is fight or flight? Would you fight the dogs off as much as you could to make it up the tower or would you run? I posed this question to my wife Kristy and I should have known what she would have said about me.

And I thought I better blog about it before Kristy has a chance to do it. A few years ago I was in our den on the computer. I had just gotten up and was going to leave the room when Kristy skipped in. I didn't hear or see her. She yelled out something (it was probably "hi" or something like that) and it scared the blue hell out of me!

So... fight?

or flight?

I guess my gut reaction is to fight. Because I leaned back away from her and punched her in the head with my left fist. Now it wasn't hard at all, it was like I was pushing her away with my fist in slow motion. She had me cornered, I had no where to go! The funny thing is that my brain told me it was Kristy and I knew it was her but my brain also said "PUNCH HER!" Like I said, she was barely hurt, I was more scared than anything else and I was trying to get away.

So be aware. I will fight when confronted.

It's Back!

Day 101

One of my fellow bloggers was celebrating their 100th entry and I was happy but perplexed. How come I was only on #99? I commented on her blog hoping that she would see her mistake and come to find out that I was the one that can't count. So I had to go back all the way to #76 and renumber them all. I blame Kristy's Blognapping of Sunday. And thanks Andrea for finding my mistake.

Last night before I went to work I was flipping through the channels to find something to watch for a half an hour and I found something that I absolutely love. I am not a big fan of reality shows but there is one that I just find fascinating. I love celebrity meltdowns and train wrecks and this one is filled with it. And I do like this show for another reason, it makes me want to take care of myself. If these pampered celebrities can do it, so can I! I am talking about Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp!

The last that I heard of that show is that they were stilling looking for some fat celebrities for the show. I had absolutely no clue that the show is done and being aired. It was like Christmas came early! I couldn't watch all of it since I had to get to work but it looks like their could be a lot of meltdowns and train wrecks. Take a look at this cast. We have K-Fat Kevin Federline, musician Bobby Brown, Charles in Charge star Nicole Eggert, Tanisha Thomas from The Bad Girls Club, Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach, High School Musical star Casey Stroh, Jay McCarroll ( i have no idea who this guy is but he sure is pretty funny) and K-Fed’s old ex, Shar Jackson. Some of these guys I have no idea who they are but I am looking forward to Bobby Brown, Nicole Eggert and Sebastian Bach lose some weight. Nicole didn't look so bad, man I had such a crush on her when I (we) were both younger.

I plan on eating a cupcake and drinking a Mountain Dew while watching this show. This show is more addicting than Mountain Dew. And I love it!
